Meerlust Red 750ml

The first appearance if the Meerlust red since 2011. The 2019 is a lighter style, approachable Bordeaux blend. It did not have the intensity required for Rubicon, so they released it as the Red instead. Still an amazing wine but at a fraction of the cost. A blend of 43% Cabernet Sauvignon, 31% Merlot, 21% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot. Barrel aged for 17 months in 46% 1st fill French Oak, 45% second fill and 9% 3rd fill. It has an ageing potential of 8-10 years from vintage date.
