Barbera
Barbera is a unique little red grape variety known as the ‘wine of the people’ in Northern Italy where it grows on low lying slopes. A high acidic wine with low tannins boasting flavours of dried strawberry; plum and blackberries complimented by hints of nutmeg; incense and lavender. Although dark in colour its a light-bodied, easy-drinking wine that pairs well with blue cheese; sausage and spaghetti bolognese.
